Artroscopic ankle fusion
Why do you need a surgery?
"Hi my name is Patrick Walsh from Northern Ireland I’m 40 years old . With a beautiful wife and three kids my journey started when I was 25 were I was at work at hurt my knee my cartridge was torn and for ten years from 25 to 35 I worked with a knee that ended up bone on bone . Three key holes surgeries and loads of injections in knee. My knee and leg wasn’t straight over a ten year period so my ankle now has went out of shape and very painful my X-rays show I need an ankle fusion on the same leg I was hopeful getting back to work after my knee surgery but my ankle is so bad so I’m stuck again wondering we’re I’m going in my life I love seeing people and I’m a people person so I make myself to go places in much pain . I would love Nordorthopaedics to consider helping me to get my ankle fixed I’ve been at Nordorthopaedics in 2020 for my knee surgery and my experience there was fantastic and I went to the UPA as we’ll for recovery I’m looking to get back to work so bad."
Why cannot you pay for this surgery and need financial help?
"At 35 I couldn’t work no more my pain was a 8 out of ten leg was not straight I needed a TKR I was on the NHS waiting list for three years then COVID hit and my operation was cancelled in Northern Ireland it set me back so much I’m a very happy person but pain took over . So my good friend seen me go down hill with depression and started a GoFundMe page to raise money for my knee surgery. We’re was I going to get it done research was needed so Nordorthopaedics came up and at first my wife was like we’re lol I said Emma look at me I’m drowning in pain I will go anywhere as a family it was a big decision. I feel that I’ve let my kids and wife down with me not making an income I’m putting my request over for help with my ankle surgery."
